Virginia Weese
An art director and brand designer based in Ontario, Canada, and the founder of Gin Creative Studio.
Holding a BA in Creative Advertising, Virginia has worked in advertising agency and boutique environments and has worked with names like Lexus, American Express and Subway Canada. Drawn to the intersection of emotion, culture, psychology, and aesthetics, her work explores how brands can feel as meaningful as they are visually compelling. Through strategy-led design, creative direction, and storytelling, she helps brands build identities people connect with.
Her approach is rooted in observation, the feeling of a film still, the atmosphere of a space, the nostalgia tied to a colour palette, the subtle details that make people stop, feel something, and remember. Virginia creates brands that feel immersive, emotionally resonant, and culturally aware. Rather than chasing trends or creating identities that feel overly polished and interchangeable, she focuses on building brands with depth, tension, personality, and longevity.
Since founding Gin Creative Studio, Virginia has worked across branding, creative direction, web design, campaigns, and visual storytelling for businesses spanning hospitality, wellness, lifestyle, architecture, retail, and culture. Her process blends strategy with intuition, balancing thoughtful systems with instinctive creative direction to create work that not only looks beautiful, but communicates something deeper.
At its core, her work including design, painting, photography and writing is about connection, translating ideas, emotions, and identity into visual worlds people can step into.
